Ectopic canine teeth especially maxillary, form displaced from their normal position. Many permanent teeth can develop ectopic, and the reason may be environmental and genetic. Orthodontic treatment is recommended as the ectopic canine teeth can migrate and damage the roots of adjacent teeth, further esthetic reasons are a clear indication for treatment. Malocclusion with severe anterior crowding is another problem faced in these cases. This article reports a case of severe anterior crowding with a bucally displaced maxillary canine and a retained deciduous maxillary canine.
